I really liked Stella's -- I went two nights in a row and I live across town! It's got a wonderful outdoor sitting area (no parking area, at all). We parked along a nearby side street and walked up -- very safe neighborhood. The second night I got there early enough to park along the street and eat at a nearby restaurant.
The inside is full of character and nooks, but the looks we got from the congregation of students in there studying and homeworking in complete silence was a bit disconcerting. That's my only drawback about this place -- too much silence inside.
I smoked my tobacco pipe outside by a little fire (there are two outfront) and the other patrons seemed to like it, so it's not too stuffy around there. It's a really cool spot, especially if you combine it with dinner at one of the local restaurants!
