I think there’s a word for Mexican seafood, but I’ll be that monkey’s mother’s brother if I can remember it. Eating dinner here with a friend was a nice experience. The place was very busy from the arrival, but we snagged the end of a long table.
Of course, I failed to get a photo of my dish (I always feel like one of those Millennials who takes photos of their food just to share their boredom with life), but I got nice photos of the exterior and my menu (which is, like, so totally exciting, I know).
I got the shrimp and rice. It was very good and there was a lot of it — I honestly should have packed up half to take home with me.
My only complaint — even though our waitress tried to warn us — was that she was also assigned to a party of 12 somewhere upstairs (we were sitting outside downstairs) and that it might take her from us for longer periods of time. It felt like longer than acceptable to get our checks, even with that situation. I wonder if she could have asked her manager to check in on us or something.
It was otherwise a good experience and one I’d be willing to try again soon!
