On my way through Baton Rouge, looked up local coffee houses (I mean, I see Starbucks more than Apollo ever did) and landed at this little gem across the street from LSU, which was a surprise as I had no idea LSU was based in Baton Rouge and still didn't really care.
Once you enter, it feels like a student-based coffee shop, set up mostly for quiet work over freelance business or casual convo, though there are outside tables and chairs for more casual coffee. I set up to do some writing and enjoyed the lay of the land. The internet was steady and there are powerstrips set up around the large area for laptoppers such as myself. Getting parking wasn't too difficult mostly because it was an off-day, but I suspect only foot traffic gets in easy, usually. That being said, I still had to circle around a few times to find a place to park.
They did forget to bring out my refill (they had to rebrew more) and the pastry was good, that I remember. It was definitely a cozy little spot perfect for working on stuff. I highly recommend it!
