Great Big Lawn Hosts Monumental National Hallmarks

Great Big Lawn Hosts Monumental National Hallmarks

Stretching from the Lincoln Memorial all the way to the US Capitol, the most famous lawn in the country boasts a slew of incredible monuments, memorials, museums and other sights worth flying here to see. Surrounded by the Smithsonian Museums of Nature & Science, Air & Space, American History, Botanic Gardens, Smithsonian Castle Institute, Federal Reserve, African American History, Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument, you could spend days wandering its circuit to try and see everything. Winter is a great time to avoid big crowds, but it's also very cold with the wind cutting down the lanes. It can be worth it with the Christmas lights, though. They light the tree by the capitol and the evening light can really set off the mall in the evening. Every American could count themselves lucky to visit the mall at least once in their lives to see what lines its walks.
