Along the main downtown strip -- but hidden down a small stairwell along a small alley, in Greenville, South Carolina, Coffee Underground is a coffee shop with a theater addition for improv and small performances. Its low light and cornery atmo is great for casual and working coffee goers. I worked on a blog post and relaxed after a day wandering around town. With a host of tables, booths and couches, its spectrum of seating, food and coffee serves all types. I really enjoyed its intimate feel and tasty pastries. This is definitely the kind of place a traveller like me loves to look for, not only because it's a place to feel like you can rest for awhile, but it's convenient to the local hotspots, easy to find and full of local culture. I loved it!
Just a tip, though. They run their wifi rather strictly and offer disposable wifi passwords for each item you might want to use to logon to the internet. You can also be booted from the password if you use too much data. It's simple enough to ask for another password -- they pass them out like candy -- it's simply a bit annoying. So long as you know, though, it's easy enough to handle!
